2025 One Year MBA Consortium Meeting

- The program is completed in 12 months or less
- No minimum experience requirement (i.e.: will accept students directly after undergraduate graduation)
If so, then we invite you to become part of a new community that we’re forming for schools that offer this type of MBA program.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEETING IS FOR SCHOOLS THAT HAVE AN EXISTING ONE-YEAR MBA THAT FITS THE CRITERIA ABOVE - IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING MOVING TO A ONE-YEAR MBA IN THE FUTURE, PLEASE ATTEND THE ONE YEAR MBA SESSION DURING THE CONFERENCE.
As early career, one-year accelerated MBAs become more popular, it is clear that a community is needed for schools that offer this type of MBA to share information and best practices, enhance the credibility of this type of degree, and establish collective thoughts (in the form of a white paper) on the criteria that rankings outlets might use in the future to evaluate and rank this newer form of the MBA.
Currently, the one-year MBA space is the “wild west” with many different types of degrees and audiences. For example, some Executive MBAs have been shortened and rebranded as one-year MBAs. This type of MBA typically has an experience requirement for admission. These types of MBAs should be evaluated and ranked differently and separately from one-year MBAs that have no experience requirement as they serve very different markets and have different designs and learning objectives. This is just one example of the clarity that this group will bring to this quickly evolving space.
The organizational meeting of this group will occur on October 21, 2025, prior to the 2025 Graduate Business Curriculum Roundtable Symposium and 2025 PMBA/OMBA Conference. The meeting will be held at the University Student Center at the St. Peterburg Campus of the University of Florida - https://www.stpetersburg.usf.edu/student-life/university-student-center/index.aspx from 9 am to 2 pm with lunch provided. There is no registration fee to attend.
